A New Look in Life

Those who know me best, and those who hold my heart (you know who you are) will probably not be overly shocked to know that I've changed my appearance. Not just a new hair, or more dramatic makeup... but a complete avatar overhaul. After more than three years in the same look, evolving with the times naturally (better skins as they came out, bouncier hair, etc.) I decided it was time for a change. My "old" look is still very much 'me', but it's the 'me' I hide behind - the assertive, confident, sometimes temperamental one. While 'she' can let loose and have fun, she tends to hold people at arm's length and no one really gets too close. Having said that, there are some people in my SecondLife who deserve to be let in beyond the walls that I tend to build high and strong - the ones who touch not only my heart, but also my soul. So for you, and for myself... I created a gate in that wall, and I've given you the key. Can you handle it?

Gearing Up for DIMH2

Just For the Girl's Hunt (April 2010)

I haven't posted anything in a while. RL has kept me pretty busy but I just started my first hunt of the Spring. (Yes I realize it's nearly summer now. LOL) The Just for the Girl's hunt started April 1st and lasts through April 30th. I've found the first 40 items, and unpacked the first 6. So far. Burning Heart Hunt

Since I've been back in SL from my LONG break, I've gotten quite addicted to the gridwide hunts. Through them I have discovered a lot of stores that were previously unknown to me - some of which have fast become favourites. I recently started the Burning Heart Hunt. I've only made it up to #9 so far, but already the prizes are quite nice.

A Place Called Home

Over the past almost three years I have "lived" in many different houses on lots of different land. Sometimes with other people, sometimes alone..sometimes in rental homes, often my own. Hmm...I truly didn't intend for that to rhyme - but oh well. The point is, with a little help, I recently purchase a small island parcel in the wonderful Celtic Moon sim. It's a lovely little space - sand and surf, and gorgeous sunsets. Lag is rarely an issue and the neighbors couldn't be better! *grins* I love the house that I purchased and have mostly furnished with my own builds (although that's fodder for another post at some point). My new home is quiet and relaxing, and for the first time in a long time I truly feel content there. What a lovely little place to log in to and escape the craziness of my RL.
